We are aware that following the implementation of NCTS6 on 01 June 2026 some customers using third-party software are receiving errors, In Sequoia this results in your declaration showing "Declaration Failed To Send".

This is currently under urgent investigation by HMRC, who are working directly with impacted software developers (SWDs).
What you need to do:

If you are a user of third-party software and receive the above error when submitting a declaration, you should:

Review all declaration data fields to ensure the correct information has been entered
Amend any data that has been entered incorrectly
Attempt to resubmit your declaration

Please do not escalate additional instances of the above to our NCTS Helpdesk or Supervising Office as we have sufficient examples to fully investigate.

We will provide a further update once more information becomes available.

Users are reporting intermittent communication errors when submitting CDS declarations via all CSP’s, as well as unable to access ASM Online Services and the ASM Resource Centre.

This is due to an ongoing outage at Cloudflare, a global network service provider that ASM use to ensure the security of our services.

Destin8 Downtime - Critical Security Patch 

Following the postponement of our scheduled security patching on Monday, 15 December as a result of CDS downtime, we committed to performing this work at the earliest opportunity. We have been closely monitoring the CDS service and, following its stabilisation, we will now proceed with applying the security patches.

We will apply these patches on Thursday 18 December at 21:00 for a period of up to 60 minutes.

We appreciate that any downtime is inconvenient, particularly at short notice. However, the security of Destin8 and our stakeholders is paramount.

ICS2 Renewal of Sealing Certificate for TAPAS PROD

Hi All

We have received the following update from the EU Central ICS2 team around their sealing certificate updates. This will impact anyone who holds an AS4 connection point with the EU Shared Trader Interface to submit data to the EU.

There is an upcoming update to the EU TAPAS Sealing certificate which will be renewed on Wednesday 3rd of December 2025 starting at 10:00 CET (09.00 GMT).

If you operate an AS4 access point you can find and download the full chain of certificates in CIRCA BC (EU Advance Cargo Information System (ICS2)) in the following publicly available folder:  TAPAS ICS2 AS4 Sealing & Signing Certificates.
You should download the Production Certificate (2026_PROD_TAPAS_ICS2_chain.zip) ready to install.

There are 2 possible procedures that can be followed:
•             If possible within your set up, you will be able to install and hold both Certificates (old & new)
•             If you are not able to install/have more Certificates at the same time, you will need to raise a ticket with the helpdesk to coordinate replacing your certificate at the same time the EU make the switch on the Central side.

Once the new certificate has been updated, please verify you can successfully exchange messages in Production.
TAPAS will only start sending messages with the new certificate on Dec 03, 2025.”

Our IT resolution team have advised that there is an issue with CDS which is preventing the rejection message (DMSREJ) from being returned when error code CDS12066 is generated.
 
A long-term fix will be required and this will be scheduled in as soon as possible with our IT Team. This case has also been added to a wider Problem Ticket, under PRB0064044, as numerous traders are affected.
 
Until then, for declaration type A, C, F, D, Y, Z Import Declarations (Procedure Category H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, I1 C&F and I1 B&E), the country code 'EU' must not be declared in DE 5/15. Instead, the individual member of states country code should be declared. See CDS update 4.9

We will be performing this task during the following window:

DR Failback - Friday 4th July 2200hrs – Saturday 5th July 0100hrs (UK time)

During this period, the Client Registration Platform will be available, however, if you are using CDS in cargoes, this will be affected, along with all other Cargoes applications and services will be unavailable.

If a rollback is required, it will be performed within the above mentioned timeframe.

After the exercise has been completed, users may need to re-authenticate their tokens. Please click here for instructions on how to perform this simple operation.

Dear Customer,


CNS will be performing essential updates to our core infrastructure starting at:

22:00 BST Sunday 22nd June and completing by 04:00 BST Monday 23rd June

This is a 6 hour window – with 4 hours of CNS work. No outage is expected.

However as with any change there is a risk, classified as LOW, that a problem with the upgrade could be encountered which would require rolling back the updates.

In the unlikely event of us having to undertake a rollback of the updates, CNS will require a two hour outage, affecting all services, within the 6 hour window.

The update has been tested in our lower environments and we expect no disruption to Services as we update our Production environment.
